Connectivity Requirements
The following article outlines what is required for connectivity to the go deploy Hosted Labs environment.
The following browsers are supported:
- 1.Microsoft Edge (Chromium) 77+
- 2.Chrome v76+
- 3.Safari v11+
- 4.Opera v63+
Please note: Internet Explorer is not supported. Mirosoft Edge Legacy reached End of Life on March 9 2021. Please ensure you upgrade your Edge Legacy browser to Edge Chromium to avoid issues with labs.
The following protocols and ports need to be open in order to access the lab environment:
- Websockets (443)
- HTTPS (443)
- HTTP (80)
For environments behind a corporate firewall the following exceptions should be made:
- Domain Names: *.godeploy.it, *.godeploylabs.com, godeployblob.blob.core.windows.net, godeploy.blob.core.windows.net, *.labsonline.it
- IP Range: 195.74.52.129/24
- IP Range: 193.105.188.162/24
- IP Range: 43.143.119.0/24
Internet Connectivity
go deploy leverages Expressroute and the Microsoft Azure Core Network to reduce latency and improve performance. However, it is recommended that each student has a minimum of 1Mb wired low latency connectivity and whilst we support a wireless connection we cannot guarantee quality of the labs when using wireless technologies.
A http://www.speedtest.net/ test should be carried out by selecting a London or New York and ensure there is a latency of less than 200ms, although less than 150ms will give the best lab experience.
Our geo load balancer will determine the best connection for students but the above test gives a good indication of quality of the connection that will be made.
It is recommended that the following domain DNS exceptions are made to firewalls due to the fact that we could change our IP Address at any time and without notification
For environments behind a corporate firewall the following exceptions should be made:
